Dinner and a Movie

So my very strange husband decided that we should have a movie night with a few of our friends to watch the movie "Blackula." Yes, the campy movie from the seventies. Nathaniel made rare hamburgers, I made a red velvet cake in the shape of a coffin and we drank red wine. Yep.

That, my friend, sounds like a wonderful night well spend. You are my kind of people!

Are you familiar with 'Vampire's Kiss' starring Nicholas Cage? I'm afraid it hasn't aged as well as it could have, but still pound for pound one of my favorite vampire movies. You could watch this one with cockroach-themed hors d'oeuvres.

The burgers were divine (especially awesome, as Nathaniel is a Veggie), the movie was CAMPY ("Solid!"), the cake was beyond wonderful (anyone up for seconds, thirds, fourths, fifths?), and the company the BEST!

Thank you so much! It was a great night!

Julia - it was so much fun as always! I got a kick out of Andrew finding "Solid" to be so funny!
